We are a premier equestrian center providing boarding, riding lessons, summer riding programs, special events, show lessons and driving lessons.

Come and enjoy year round riding with our 8400 Square foot indoor arena, and find the best value in the area.

Located in Bethany Connecticut, we are a convenient drive with easy access on Route 63.

Blackhorse Equestrian Center LLC is owned by Brad Bertele and Melissa Pogwizd. Melissa is also the General Manager.

LATEST UPDATES (We've been busy !!!)

Lucy Andersen successfully competed at IEA Regional Finals in April. Although she was not chosen as one of the top 8 finalists she had a very respectable ride (except for a lead swap). Lucy said it was a wonderful experience and she is already looking forward to IEA next year.

On May 5, Melissa and Kiara competed in Kiara's first dressaage show - the CDA Schooling show at Once Again Farm in Meriden. It was a very positive experience, and they are already planning and preparing for their next show.

Heike and Junior also competed at the same show. They earned a second qualifying score and are now eligible to compete at the NRADC (Northeast Regional Adult Amateur Dressage Championships) in October.

On May 6, Hope and Crosby competed in the USDF recognized show at Once Again Farm. They earned a second qualifying score as well, and are also eligible to compete at ther NRADC team competiton in October.
